In April 2026, the Pierce County Council and Executive designated a county Domestic Violence Awareness Day. The proclamation is symbolic, but the network it describes is not. - Electronic filing for temporary protection orders
- Criminal and civil legal services
- Housing and emergency assistance
- Real-time support on the Domestic Violence Helpline
- Chaplaincy services and proactive outreach to victims
The proclamation also named a long list of partner organizations, among them Rebuilding Hope, the YWCA of Pierce County, the Korean Women’s Association, the Puyallup Tribe Community Domestic Violence Advocacy Program, Tacomaprobono, the JBLM Family Advocacy Program, and Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. The county noted that these services are provided at no cost.
